This Cookies Notice explains how affpinions.com (the "Site") uses cookies and similar technologies such as local storage, and how you can control them. It should be read with our Privacy Notice.
In short: Affpinions does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies or social-media tracking pixels. We only use essential browser storage that keeps the Site working the way you set it — and that data stays on your device.
1. What are cookies and local storage?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. Local storage and session storage are similar technologies built into your browser that let a website remember information on your device. Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and equivalent EU rules, websites need your consent to store or access information on your device unless it is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for.

If you choose Essential only in the banner, we do not store functional preferences such as calculator inputs or currency choice. The compare list is stored only when you actively add a network to compare.
This data is stored only in your browser. It is not sent to our servers and is not used to identify or track you.
3. Server logs
Like almost every website, our hosting provider records basic technical information (such as IP address, time of request and browser type) in server logs to keep the Site secure and diagnose problems. These logs do not use cookies and are kept for a short period. See the Privacy Notice for details.
4. Third-party cookies when you leave the Site
When you click a link to an affiliate network, program or merchant, you are taken to a third-party website. That website, or the affiliate network's tracking system, may set its own cookies — for example to attribute a sign-up or purchase to Affpinions. Those cookies are controlled by the third party, not by us, and are governed by their own cookie and privacy policies. We encourage you to read them.
Some pages may also link to external services (such as social networks or domain registration lookups). Visiting those services is subject to their own policies.
5. How to manage your preferences
- On our Site: click Cookie settings in the footer of any page to reopen the banner and change your choice.
- Clear stored data: use the button below to delete everything Affpinions has stored in this browser.
- In your browser: all modern browsers let you view, block and delete cookies and site data. Look in the privacy or security settings of Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge. Blocking all storage may stop some features (such as the compare list) from working.
6. Changes
If we introduce any new cookies or storage — for example privacy-friendly analytics — we will update this notice and, where consent is required, ask for it before setting them.
